Lignum Vitis, originally a concept wine, celebrates Italian wine, science, art, and craftsmanship. Now it has been on the international market for years with many new harvests to come. Inspired by the discovery of gravitational waves, as theorized by Einstein, it was the first wine to feature a fully wooden label — a design that is complex in meaning yet essential in form, defined by engravings, solids, and voids. Its name, Lignum Vitis, recalls the aging process of wine in large wooden barrels.
